Saheed Sporting beat Paramount Sporting to lift Satabdi Cup

Saheed Sporting beat city opponents Paramount Sporting in the final by 25 runs to win the Rabi Mohanty Memorial Satabdi Cup Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at Unit-1 High School ground in Bhubaneswar today. Orissa Cricket Association president Ranjib Biswal handed over the trophy and a cash prize of Rs 11,111 to the victorious team at the closing function. The runners-up received Rs 7,777. P Jayachandra (Saheed Sporting) bagged both the man of the match and man of the tournament awards, while Amitav Rout (Paramount Sporting) and Pratap Patnaik (Saheed Sporting) were adjudged the best bowler and best batsman respectively. The tournament was organized by Bapuji Nagar Cricket Club. BRIEF SCORES: Saheed Sporting: 170 for 5 in 20 overs (Pratap Patnaik 68, P Jayachandra 62: Gourav Mohapatra and Amitav Rout 2 wkts each) beat Paramount Sporting: 145 for 8 in 20 overs (Priyatosh Paramanik 40, Smruti Ranjan Biswal 36: P Jayachandra and Bikash Raj each 3 wkts).
